Math

Hey, i am in Math B. I want to tell you about how to solve absolute value inequalities. When i first learned about it i thought it was going to be impossible. First i will give an example of an inequality: /y+3/+5=2y. The first thing you have to do is Isolate the absolute vale on one side; /y+3/=2y-5, this is what you would get. Then you would have to create two derived equations; /y+3/=2y-5 and /y+3/=-(2y-5). After this you have to solve for the unknown. Finally you check for extraneous roots. Learning this was fairly easy, i am glad i learned it.If you want more info just go here.
