Math

Hey, i am in Math B. I want to tell you about how to solve absolute value inequalities. When i first learned about it i thought it was going to be impossible. First i will give an example of an inequality: /y+3/+5=2y. The first thing you have to do is Isolate the absolute vale on one side; /y+3/=2y-5, this is what you would get.Then you would have to create two derived equations; /y+3/=2y-5 and /y+3/=-(2y-5). After this you have to solve for the unknown. Finally you check for extraneous roots. Learning this was fairly easy, i am glad i learned it.If you want more info just go here.

My week *zZz*

It was hectic. The moment school was over i had to go to a track meet at Pratt College. I had to run a 200m; that's once around. I came in first and i was really happy about it. I came home like at........um i think around 9-10 o'clock. Then on Saturday I had another track meet at 8 am. it was only one race, but sadly we came in 4th, i was so mad. I didn't have to stay long, i left the armory at about 9:30. I reached home at 11 o'clock. Then i had to get ready to go to church to practice for our Christmas service on Sunday(today). After that i was suppose to go to my guitar lessons but i decided not to and stay at the church. We decorated until 6pm; my cousin and i and some other Sunday school children....though not all of them helped. Finally today i had fun. i enjoyed church, even though the snow made a lot of people not come. I had food and cake so i'm all good....well i am really tired i didn't even get to do my home work until 5 today....i am even tired while doing this :(

Horrible :(

I had track yesterday. i did horribly. i hate it. i came in dead last, and that was the only race i had to run too. It was 1000m; 5 laps around the armory. Well i had some set backs too so i'm not all mad. For one my leg was hurting and my side, then i had to keep holding up my pants while running because i thought it would fall. I fell bad as it is and not i have a cold. Every time i done running i always start sneezing and couching. I hope i get well soon.

Track at the Armory

I had track again today. from the last time i was less nervous. like the last time though i ran 2 races. the first one was a 300m. it is basically around the track one then an extra 100m. it was actually not bad. i was in the 5th race lane one for the 300. so i was watching the other people who were in lane one before me and thought that it was unfair because they were always in the back. but when it was my turn i came in second; not to seem mean but those before me were probably didn't run fast. The second race i ran was a relay. we were suppose to run a 4 by 4; each person goes around the track twice before giving the other person the baton, but since one of our members was late we missed the race and had to do the 4 by 8; around the track FOUR TIMES before we give the baton. but i was really happy we did the 4 by 8 and not the 4 by 4 because in the 4 by 8 we came in first. We were like a lap ahead of everyone....it was totally AWESOME!!! If we had did the 4 by 4 i do not think we would have been first......everything happen for a reason :)

Track-indoor

I had a track meet on sunday. it was fun. i think in all i came in 12th place because it's based on time. so i guess i wasn't fast enough. but it's not to worry i have another one next sunday so i will try my best. i hope everyone roots for me. before i wanted to quit track but it's ok now... i am back on track. so when i am feeling down i just got to hang in there because it doesn't always last long. so i will do ok.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was so much fun. Mommy was in the kitchen cooking while I was cleaning up my room and packing away my clothes. we finally got our couches so it was really cool. it's a new house so don't worry. when everybody came it was real fun. My cousins from New Jersey came; one with her child and the other two around my age, 12 and 16. Then my aunt and cousins came too; one was 22 and the other one was 14 turning 15 this month. We watched twilight and took pictures. I had a lot of fun on Thanksgiving. I was Thankful for everything i had.

New Moom

Today i went to the movies. i went to see New Moon, that twilight serious. i never watch the first one; this one was my first. i enjoyed it though, it was really interesting. i really think she would look good with Jake, but its better that she with the vampire. i really enjoyed it. i went to see at Court Street. i even saw my friends from my old school too. we talked a little. they had just come out from the movie i was going to watch. they told me not to go because the ending was wack. i thought it was good because it left me wanting to see the next one that comes out even thought i never watched the first. maybe that was why they ended it like that so that people who never saw the first one would like it even though.

Guitar lessons

I went to guitar lessons today. it happened again though. i wastn't in the mood to do it. i think i have a problem. well it doesn't matter because i like it so i will continue doing it. but track sometimes get in the way though. but i want to continue doing what i like so i hope that i can become a proffessional guitarist. i am going to succeed. I go to Bennett music school. i really like it, and it has a convienient time for me to. i go every saturday, 20 dollar a week. it's really helpful.

My Project

For my computer assignment i had first chosen to do a topic about Trinidad, but now i think i want to do it on "People". I'm not quite sure what i have to do, or how i have to do it. Well i might have an idea of what i what i have to do. I have to make sure and have quotes on my slide show. I have to explain things i think, show differences, and maybe how my topic of choice have an impact on our world. this i mostly what i get. I also have to, at the end, have a bibliography of all the sites i got my things from. If i can i will try and make it a super great slide show because doing these kind of things are interesting.

"This is it: Drill"- Michael Jackson

WOW! That was really nice! This video clip was really something. From just watching it, it seems like it will be an awesome movie, can't wait to see it. Michael Jackson is totally awesome, and he was around 50, that is cool. I like how they moved in the clip especially at the end with all those men moving as one. How this was choreographed was brilliant. Michael Jackson was truly brilliant, it showed he true talents. Michael Jackson was truly a gift from God. compared to other music videos i think M.J's tells a story in a more unique way. He made his own movements and paved it out his own way.I like it, i think it would be a good movie when it comes out and i hope that it sells millions. ^-^

Africa Rich!!

A time in my U.S History class we were discussing whether or not we should be celebrating Columbus day. I was originally going to discuss this topic but i decided against it because i feel that what i say will/might offend people. So from this discussion in class it somehow led us to talking about how T.V lies and then we came on the topic where T.V shows how children in Africa need help. i have watched a lot of African movies and they are so not poor. Now i know that Africa is WAY richer. I knew this before but it was like my brain was having a fight in my head on what was right and what was wrong. I have come to the conclusion that these two thoughts are both right. this is because Africa is made up of, and excuse my language, MAD 'NOUGH States. In Africa there are just some places better off than others. I hope that people would stop getting brained washed by what the T.V says because i personally don't really believe much things on the T.V

Track ^_^

i ran track yesterday, October 14, 2009. i started off a little fast so i was a little mad at myself for doing that. i had to run 1.5 miles in prospect park, and i came in 21st place...out of 60-70 people i think. i was told that it was good for my first try..now I'm classified as a mid-distance runner; i wanted to be a sprinter. *i think it was a long distance i ran**sigh*. i should have ran slower...maybe i would not have be told i was a mid-distance runner. well alls well that ends well...I'm really glad i didn't stop while running, thats the only reason i'm proud of myself *personallly i don't think 21st place is something to be happy about*.

T.V Today

T.V today has a lot of people brainwashed especially children. The shows they have now are so "whack". They just make you say "O.M.G what are people thinking today". It has no concern with children but yet they took out the best t.v channel because it was to violent. T.V is contradicting its' self. Time are changing too, its hard to except, but come on some T.V shows are totally...... there is not even words to explain them.... -_-

Computers

its amazing how computers work. i love computers because it allows me to play games and do lots of other things as well. I often come to wonder how does it really work. Computers are really very cool because they host this thing called the internet. What is the internet? I have watch cartoons that show what inside a computer, or inside the web, would look like. I think it's amazing that i can talk to someone in trinidad while I'm in america; its not like tying a message to a bird so that it can fly for some miles and reach the person in a week, the internet..... *sigh* i just can't help but think about these things. I'm fascinated by the world and how things work. I may never find the answer, but its worth thinking about it. ^_^

Music....???

I like music. i love to listen to it, especially when its something i can sing to and i thinks it sounds good. But, the only problem i have is keeping up with all these new releases. When people ask me if i know some song they're listening to and i don't know it i sometimes get mad because its such a hassle. Music is relaxing but really i don't give much thought to it. If i choose to listen to music and i happen to hear something i think is new, that has been out for 2 months, then let me. i take my time listening to music

Breathe...a ghost story

For me i never thought about reading books when i was younger. I slowly became fascinated with reading, especially mysteries, horrors and fantasies. This one book i read was really awesome, i can't really explain it, but as I'm doing this i feel the urge to re-read it again. The book is called "Breathe a ghost story" by Cliff McNish. This is not the first book to make me feel this way but when i read books like these i get this really good feeling. I think this is one of the reasons i like to read. i really recommend this book. . ^_^
